OCTI aspires to share the voices and work of professors, students, faculty, and staff of the Dickinson community so that we can all feel a little more connected.
Sometimes when we step back from the chaos of our lives, we realize there is a thread of connectivity in what has led us to both who we are, what we love and how we pursue our passions. By sharing our story, we find magic; people connect, they can relate, they are given ground to share. That is the environment we are striving to create.
Monday Monthly Meet-ups
Monday Monthly Meet-up serves as a monthly opportunity for people to come together and re-energize.
We hope to create a space where inspiration, skills and connections can be shared and swaped.
Meet-ups begin with presentations from student project leaders. Next, there is an organized work-shop designed to give an introduction to an important skill. They are concluded with a passion presentation by the MC who talks briefly about their passion, no matter how strange.
idea Fund FORMAL DESSERT
One of the many goals of the Idea Fund, a student-led project incubator for student projects, is to empower students to be change agents. The Formal Dessert serves as a space to recognize and thank student innovators as well as the staff, administrators and faculty that give us the resources to make our work possible.
